COVID-19 POLICY FOR ELITE FOOD CO

The Safety of our Staff & Customers are our highest priority during this unprecedented outbreak of
Coronavirus.


Elite foods will comply with all directions from authorised public health officers and recognised
medical authorities in relation to the Coronavirus and as far as possible plan for and make advance
preparations for the possibility that our operations may be affected.

MEASURES WE ARE UNDERTAKING

As the World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared Coronavirus a “pandemic”, Elite Foods have
put in place the following measures to minimise harm from COVID-19:


 We encourage all members of staff to frequently wash their hands.
 Staff and Clients to make use of alcohol-based sanitisers that Elite have installed at various
stations within the workplace.
 All staff including cleaners are to use high performance sanitiser on all high-risk areas
including benches, handles, bathroom facilities.
 Ensure where practically possible to make use of gloves.
 Staff will be discouraged where possible to avoid overseas travel. Should they proceed to
travel overseas they will be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return.
 We will provide and will continue to provide up to date notices of measures that can be
taken to reduce the possibility of infection. Currently these would include:

  • Avoid shaking of hands
  • Maintain a social distance of 1.5m distance between yourself and anyone else
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Make sure you follow good hygiene. This involves covering your mouth and nose or
  • using a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Keep clear of social hotspots with large numbers of people present.


 We will do our very best to keep things as normal as possible with regard to ordering
maintaining stock levels, deliveries, quotes, emailing and phone calls from the Elite team.

 Efforts will be made to reduce the amount of cash handling.

 We will encourage all persons who are experiencing flu-like symptoms to follow the advise
of WA Health (for further information on this go to https://www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/coronavirus

MEASURES YOU CAN UNDERTAKE TO ASSIST US

 Do not panic, remain calm. Do not get angry. Above all respect and help each other.

 Advise anyone arriving in WA from overseas that they must self-isolate for 14 days or face
penalties of up to $50,000.

 Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with soap and water, making use of alcohol based
hand sanitiser and high grade disinfectants (both now available from Elite Foods while
stocks last)

 Try not to panic buy. Your Business Development Manager and our office staff will be able
to assist and advise you with regard to possible supply issues. As it stands today we do not
anticipate any large scale disruptions to supply, but are mindful that this can change very
quickly.
 Where practically possible avoid contact with our staff & office utensils (e.g. use your own
pen for signing documents, swipe your own credit card).
 If possible, avoid the use of Cash.
 Pick-ups: Please pre-arrange at least 1 hour ahead by phoning our office with your order.
 When entering our premises, ensure you use our alcohol-based hand sanitiser and that you
are not exhibiting any flu-like symptoms.

CONCLUSION

To fight this dreaded Coronavirus, we must all work together and ensure everyone does their bit.

We have taken steps to mitigate risks, protect staff & customers alike and minimise disruption whilst
increasing safety and hygiene protocols.

We strongly recommend that everyone does their own research and keep up to date with
developments which may change on a daily basis.

Elite Foods as you are aware, is a small family run business experiencing the same social issues,
financial concerns and lack of certainty that you all face. In these difficult times, it is important that
we all stick together and help each other out.
